I. Product Introduction
The FAK-158Ex is an intrinsically safe intelligent digital pressure module designed for high-accuracy pressure measurement in flammable and explosive environments. The module utilizes advanced microprocessor technology and silicon piezoresistive sensors. Each sensor is subjected to specialized aging, testing, and screening before assembly to ensure long-term stability. When used with an FAK260Ex or FAK273Ex handheld device, it forms a complete intrinsically safe pressure calibration and recording system. Its explosion-proof rating reaches Ex ia IIC T4 Ga, allowing safe use in Zone 0 areas where natural gas is continuously present.
During field implementation, technicians connect the 158Ex pressure module to the pilot valve of the pressure regulator or to pressure taps upstream/downstream of the valve. While simulating valve opening and closing actions, the 158Ex captures subtle pressure changes within the pipeline in real time and accurately records the peak pressure at the moment the valve actuates, thereby determining whether the pressure regulator is qualified.
