The FAK-762 is an automated portable hydraulic pressure calibrator, primarily used for the precision calibration and maintenance of high-pressure equipment (up to 10,000 psi or 15,000 psi, depending on the specific model). Due to its fully automatic pressure generation and release, dual-range auto-switching, and portability, its practical application scenarios are widely distributed across laboratories and harsh industrial field environments.
In oil and natural gas extraction, the FAK-762 is often used for high-pressure, portable, and highly automated wellhead instrumentation maintenance. The following is a typical application case based on field operations at an oil and gas site:
Application Case: Automatic Calibration of Intelligent HART Pressure Transmitters at Wellheads
Scenario Description:
At an onshore high-pressure gas field, technicians need to periodically calibrate the pressure transmitters located on the Christmas tree to ensure the accuracy of downhole pressure and casing pressure monitoring. The field environment is complex, and the instrument ranges typically fall between 5,000 and 10,000 psi.
Key Application Process:
Device Connection and Automatic Purging: The technician connects the FAK-762 to the transmitter's pressure tap using high-pressure hoses. Using the built-in "Auto-Purge" function on the calibrator, residual air in the hydraulic system is quickly expelled, ensuring pressure stability during high-pressure operation (stability ≤ 0.005% FS).
Smart Communication Integration: Without the need to carry an additional communicator, the FAK-762's built-in HART communication function directly reads the digital data from the transmitter under test and supports configuring the instrument or performing "zero/span" adjustments.
Automated Task Execution: The technician calls up a pre-set "Calibration Task" on the touchscreen. The calibrator automatically performs pressure generation, stabilization, and data recording according to the programmed setpoints (e.g., 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% of the range).
On-Site Report Generation: After the test is completed, the FAK-762 automatically analyzes the error, determines whether the result is within acceptable limits (pass/fail), and stores the results in its internal 8GB memory. The formal calibration report can then be exported via Wi-Fi or USB.
